Darn Squirrels

I am stuck at work on a Saturday and Orem wants to cut the flow rate again, so I am getting really long filter run times. That means I don't have as much to do as I require, so I have resorted to hunting squirrels. Before you accuse me of being an inhumane, sadistic animal killer, please note that squirrels like to burrow next to concrete walls and this weakens the ground holding the wall up. This is bad when there are several hundred thousand gallons of water behind said wall.

To make matters worse, the squirrels have been taunting me all morning. I took a shot at one from the balcony, but I must have missed because he flipped me off and ran over the hill. I shot at another sitting on the curb outside the filter building, but missed again. He ran under the Ford. I later saw him sitting on top of the Ford's tire. I didn't really want to shoot the Ford. If it had been the Dodge, I would have opened fire to put it out of its misery (the Dodge, not the squirrel.) However, when approached the truck, the squirrel jumped off the tire, ran under the truck and up into the engine compartment. He wouldn't come out and face me like a man, so I fired up the engine hoping he would get caught in the engine fan. I will let you know when I finally get the chance to shovel his corpse into the dumpster.

P.S. I am fairly certain this squirrel is French.

New hair

I went to get my hair trimmed on Monday and decided to get some highlights for a little birthday present to myself. Here's how it turned out.

The change to R and R Realty

This has been a really hard week for me. I had to make a few big decisions. But I am feeling a little better now. On Monday I got a call from AllPro about my checks. They have had some financial difficulties and they now have to put me on a payment schedule to pay me my commissions. It is a really long story and it is not fair or anything else but it is what it is. So I finally decided to switch brokerages. I am now with R and R Realty. R and R stands for the rest and relaxation the client will get through working with R and R's Realtors. Wow, that was a lot of R's. I chose them because I know the Broker and a few agents really well and I like that they don't have transaction fees to the clients like all the other brokerages do. So let's hope for the best with this change and with getting paid for all of my hard work for the last several months.
Here is a look at my new business card, front and back.

Our garden is planted !

I am so excited, we planted our garden today. Jon rigged up this nice watering system for the boxes with PVC and drip hoses.

This is the tomato box, we have 8 different tomato plants. We met a really helpful lady at the nursery who told us to plant our squash and cucumbers under the tomatoes to save on space, so they are also in this box.

This is the pepper and onions box. We have green, yellow, anaheim, jalapeno, and all sorts of other peppers. We are going to have the best salsa in town.

This box has 3 rows of corn (which you can't see) and a watermelon plant. That same lady said to plant watermelon and corn together. She was so helpful, we really wanted to use our space wisely and she gave us some great tips.

And this is Calvin's digger area. He loves to play in the gravel. We might have to take some of his digger space next year if we really love this gardening stuff. I can't wait to see how well the garden grows. If it works out well enough we will built some more boxes next year.

Random Pictures

I like this picture of Lily, she just looks so pleasant.

I love this plant in our front yard. I wanted all of you to see how pretty it is.

It is fun to play the piano with the kids sometimes, they love to sing and push random keys.

Lily caught red handed

This afternoon I was talking to Jon's mom on the phone and I saw Lily out of the corner of my eye, she was crawling towards the pantry. A few minutes later I look over and there is a box of graham crackers on the floor, opened, and all I see is Lily's little foot sticking out of the pantry. Take a look at these pictures to see what I found.

Mom's should not get sick! Sign below if you agree.

We got that 24 hr. Flu bug that is going around. Lily had it last week, she threw up all over my bed 3 times and then Calvin got it Tuesday and kept puking until Wednesday and then I got it Wed. Yuck! I just have to say, I don't think Mom's should be allowed to get sick, we have to take care of everyone else; so I think we should sign some sort of petition about it (don't petitions always work? ha ha).

Lily walking

Lily kept on walking back and forth with this walker and by the time I realized I should get the camera she was getting really wobbly. And as you can hear in the background Calvin was very concerned about his Bob the Builder show being muted for 30 seconds.
