Garden
It is that marvelous time of year again. We weeded, tilled, and planted our garden. I am so excited for all of the fresh goodness that comes right from our own backyard. In just a couple of months we will have tomatoes and peppers of several varieties, corn, cucumbers, peas, watermelon, lettuce, onion, and sweet potatoes. I can't wait!
Mother's day
Mother's day was good. Jon woke me with pancakes and blackberries. Jon and the kids made me an adorable card. I picked out a couple of new dresses the week before for my present and Jon got me some flowers.
At church we decided to let all of the women primary teachers go to Relief Society and so we had the men take over everything for primary. I stayed the first hour to watch the guys do sharing and singing time and it was very entertaining to say the least. Men just do not have the finesse that women have with the little ones. But it was a nice break and it was good to hear a lesson for once. The children sang in sacrament meeting and Calvin was so scared, he covered his eyes and wouldn't come off of the stand. I had to go and carry him down. Poor little guy, he just doesn't like a lot of people looking at him. Lily on the other hand was trying to break free of Jon to climb up on the stand.
I just have to say, I love being a mom. I love all of the wonderful moms in my life. And I am glad their is a day to celebrate and think about how awesome it is to be a mom!

Primary Activity
I survived another quarterly primary activity. This time we did the activity about Modern moms and Scripture moms. We had the kids plant a flower in a cup that they decorated for their moms. They also made coupon flowers with the petals saying things like, "I will do the dishes." We played a dress up game with all of the things moms do for us. And we had some women in the ward dress up like scripture moms and tell stories. All and all the kids had fun and it was a success.

In Lily's words
Oh, how I love the new things Lily has been saying. She says:
Num on-- (come on) and waves her arm for you to follow her.
Don't know or non't know-- and puts her hands up and shrugs her shoulders.
Yip--This is her new way of saying yes to everything. She used to say ya. But now it is yip.
Where my Cal Cal-- I love when she wakes up and says this.
cho cho-- Cereal
pretzy-- pretzels
poop--and points to her diaper. Maybe it is getting close to potty training?
neinstime-- Baby Einstein videos
She can pretty much tell me what she wants now. And she copies what I say to her. But when she wants to have a conversation with me it is all a bunch of really fast jiborish. It is pretty darn funny. I just love my little Lily bug.

Sacrament prayer
When we were watching conference a month ago, Calvin was sitting on the couch and he just started saying the sacrament prayer. Jon and I looked at each other and went, "wow." I guess he is listening is sacrament meeting.
Breaking Dawn
I finished the last Twilight book right after Moab. I really liked it, even though it was kind of strange in some parts. I love happy endings, so I liked how she worked everything out for all of the characters. All and all it was a fun series to read but it took up too much of my time. I can't wait for the rest of the movies to come out.
