Lily's Baptism July 4, 2015

Lily was baptized on the 4th of July. She was excited to have fireworks on her baptism day. The night before her baptism she was not feeling well so we took her to insta care at 9pm and she had strep throat. We ran and got an antibiotic but they usually don't kick in for 24 hours and her baptism was in the morning. Jon gave her a blessing that she would feel good on her baptism day and that she wouldn't get anyone sick. She woke up the next morning feeling great. It was a beautiful day. Her baptism was wonderful. The program is pictured below. Lily chose who did everything for her program. Calvin played a piano piece that he composed just by hearing the song on Pandora. Lily had to be baptized twice because she was so comfortable with Jon dunking her that she let her toe pop up out of the water. Jon also confirmed her and gave her a beautiful blessing. The part that stood out to me was that she would develop her spiritual gifts. She looked absolutely beautiful in her baptism dress. The baptism pictures that I took of her a few weeks ago are also pictured. The rest of the day we had so much fun with family at our house playing games, singing happy birthday to Lily, walking to the park and lighting fireworks in the Cul de sac. It was a wonderful day. We love our beautiful Lily bug and we are so proud of her decision to be baptized.

Sunglasses

Lana loves sunglasses. It is so cute to watch her play with them and see the smile it brings to her face.

Cousins from Washington

Dominique and Tyler came out from Washington for Lily's baptism and we had so much fun with them the last week. The kids love playing with their cousins Greyson and Emmett and they are excited for their new baby boy cousin to come in October. We went to a jumping place, we went to the pond, we played at our house a lot, we went out to dinner, we went to the movies, played at the park and had a sleepover. It has just been a blast to spend time together and we are hoping to go to Washington and visit them after their baby boy comes.

My chair

It has only taken me a year and a half and three chairs returned to end up with the rocking chair I actually wanted to rock my baby in. I love my new chair and I'm so happy I got it for my mothers day / birthday present this year.

Preschool graduation

Ava is all done with preschool. She's such a fun girl, she has learned a lot and she is ready for kindergarten.

Silly girl

Oh My, sometimes Ava cracks me up. I was trying to take pictures of her and I said, "Ava, look at me. "and after saying that a few times she yelled at me, "I am!" And then smiled sweetly for the picture.

The other day we went to the swimming pool and she stepped on a pine cone and then looked at me and screamed,  "you put that there!" and she was really angry at me. It worries me a little bit that she thinks I was trying to sabotage her with a pine cone.

Tumbling

Lily was in a tumbling class this year and she really enjoyed it.

Lily's birthday

I can't believe that it's been 8 years since our little Lily bug was born. She is such a blessing in our lives. She is sweet and loving and kind and helpful. For her birthday she wanted to go to Funtopia and do some rock climbing. We had a fun time as a family. We went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant and then went to pick out her present at Toys R Us. She chose these cute little happy puppies that zoom around. I gave her a couple of new dresses in the morning and we also gave her her very own set of scriptures with her name on them. Also, a very fun thing happened. She had been wanting the old tiny Polly Pockets, since they don't sell them anymore I had been trying to win them on eBay. The night before her birthday we stopped by Jon's sisters house and as we were walking in I was holding my phone about to make a bid on a polly pocket but I got distracted and started talking to somebody and forgot to make the bid. Jon's sister Emily asked what I was bidding on and I told her that we had been wanting the old miniature Polly Pockets. She told Jon and I to come up stairs and she showed us her own personal stash of Polly Pockets from when she was a little girl. She let us take them home for Lily. On Lily's birthday I hid them all over the house and sent her on a scavenger hunt to find them. She was so happy about getting those that she started crying. She had a very happy and fun day.
