Father and son and daughter campout

Back in May our ward had their annual father and sons camp out. Jon had to work that night and Calvin was so sad. So Jon promised him they would have their own camp out. The original plan was to go up the canyon. But time slipped away from us as it often does and Jon was working graves. So when he finally got on a normal shift, they decided to have a camp out on the tramp and Calvin invited Lily and it was now called the father and son and daughter camp out. They read stories and had fun with the flashlight. And they looked at the stars and made wishes on any shooting ones that they saw. Jon said he didn't sleep much but they had fun. I stayed inside with Ava and didn't sleep much either. Look how cute they are all cuddled on the trampoline.

Our 8th Anniversary

Okay, eight years with this man, I deserve a medal!! Just kidding. Or maybe it should be the other way around, huh. I love Jon so much. He is such an awesome husband. He does so much for our family. Besides providing for us, he helps out with the kids, the laundry, dishes, yard work, etc, etc.. I could not do it without him. I love him and thank him for being my knight in shining armor when he comes home from work and helps me with everything that needs to be done. What a lucky woman I am.

This year for our anniversary we went out to lunch and then we decided to do something different, that we had not ever done before. We went geo caching up American Fork Canyon. We borrowed Coach's 4-wheeler and went on a treasure hunt. It was very relaxing and fun to just go exploring in the mountains. We had a really good time. It was nice to have some peace and quiet and get some exercise hiking to the treasures. We found a big bathtub that was out in the middle of nowhere, that was the cache we are assuming, it was kind of funny. And we found a little cache that we got two treasures out of. We replaced them of course. We got Calvin a movie and Lily a Minnie Mouse figurine.

It has been an adventurous 8 years and we look forward to many, many more!!

Flashback-Our wedding day

Our wedding day was so wonderful and happy. I just remember both of us had sore cheeks from smiling so much!! What good memories these pictures bring.

Thanksgiving point Children's gardens, the kids had a blast there.

I ordered the kids their Halloween costumes online way back in July. They were having a buy one get one free sale for the summer. When the costumes came, they were so excited that they had to put them on and show their friends. And then their friends had to get dressed up too. They are all so cute and fun. I love our cul-de-sac, in this picture we have Davis, Lily, Calvin, Treyson and Ethan. As you can see Lily is a girl pirate and Calvin is a Ninja.

Palisades

We decided to be brave for the 24th of July and take a newborn camping. I don't know what we were thinking. It was way too hot. At least Palisades has a clubhouse that I could nurse Ava in to get out of the sun. Despite being hard with the baby, we did have fun. We love this family reunion, it is a lot of fun every year. Riding bikes, paddle boats, hiking and playing in the water. This year we went to the sterling parade which was pretty funny. It was the smallest parade I have ever seen and the kids collected a ton of candy.
