Christmas Day was really great this year. Jon worked graves, so he got home at 7 am. We ended up waking up the kids at 8 because Jon wanted to go to bed at some point. We brought the kids down to the living room and they were so excited to open presents. This year we started a new tradition. Before we open any presents we say a prayer and then we write a card to Jesus. In the card we write something that we want to work on the next year that would be a gift to our Savior, like pray more or study the scriptures or be happier, whatever we want to work on. And then put it in this pretty little treasure box. We really loved doing this.

Then we opened our baby card to find out we are having a GIRL!! Well 70% sure. The cord was between her legs during the ultrasound.

Then we opened our stocking and presents. Grandpa Gary and Grandma Wendy stopped by to see the kids open some presents. Lily got some dress up stuff and a new baby doll. It was a water baby but she does not like water in it. She made that perfectly clear when we filled it up. She also got a guitar and some sunglasses that she loves.

Calvin got a pirate cove set, some school clothes and shoes and his special dragon castle. He saw this Dragon castle when he was choosing his birthday present back in July. He had to choose between it and a Lego set and knight costume. When we were at the store he said "I know, I will get the Legos and Knight costume now and the Dragon castle for Christmas. " And believe me, not a day went by in the last six months where he didn't mention that he was getting a Dragon Castle for Christmas. He was sooo excited when he finally got to open it and play with it. It is very special to him, it stays in his room where he can keep an eye on it, along witht he castle he got last year. When he was very sad we were having a girl we said "you can keep your castles in your room becasue Lily will be sharing her room with the new baby girl." He said, "Oh, that's okay then, we can have a girl."

Jon got me some cute maternity clothes and some other things. But I really loved the homemade coupon book he made me with original fun coupons he wrote up. Things like a massage, sleeping in, date night. But if you know Jon you know he can make me laugh with the way he words things, I just loved reading all of the coupons. And I am excited to use them.
I got Jon some ammo for his gun, some clothes, and some other odds and ends. He bought himself a gun a little while before Christmas that was part of his present. And we kind of counted our cabinets and the van a big part of our Christmas this year.
For Christmas breakfast I made cinnamon rolls and breakfast burritos. Jon went to sleep for a while after that. When he woke up we went to my parents house for Christmas dinner and games. My family got Rock band for Christmas, so everyone took turns playing with that. Lily was so cute playing with her little guitar. My mom gave the kids some new pajamas that they got to wear home. It was a great day.
