Book of Mormon

At tithing settlement in December the bishop challenged us (and all of the other families in the ward) to read the Book of Mormon as a familiy in 2012. We decided to do this. Calvin can read fairly well so he gets to read several verses every night. But Lily was feeling a little left out. We remembered a comment that Bishop Paas made in Gospel Doctorine class that when his daughter was little and she couldn't read yet, everytime the words "and it came to pass" came up they would point to her and she could say her part. We have designated "and it came to pass" as Lily's part in our family scripture reading. And it has worked out great.

That's a great idea! I like that Lil can be involved too. I remember reading the BOM as a fam and being excited for my turn. That's cool you are all participating. Well, almost, Ava will get her turn too soon. ;)
