Sleep

Lana is eight weeks old today and last night she slept from 11 o'clock at night until 6 o'clock in the morning. She has been such a good little sleeper the last 2 wks. It seems like by eight weeks old all my babies had it figured out and they would sleep for at least five hours at one time and Sometimes up to seven hours. And then go back to sleep after being fit for a couple more hours. I have such good sleeping babies and she is no exception. She is kind of fussy in the day but since she lets me sleep at night, I am happy rock and bounce her in the day.

Fun times

My mom brought the cousin up last night to sleep over because Joe and Jamie are running the Ragnar with Jon and my dad. We had a fun time watching movies, going to the parade this morning, and the carnival. I love that the Cedar Hills parade is in our backyard, it's fun to just be able to walk out there and have a great seat. And the carnival is low-key and It has lots of free stuff to do. The kids had a blast and now we are all exhausted.

5k

On Saturday our ward had a 5K for a boy named Chase in our ward who has cancer. Jon and Calvin decided to run it together. It was Calvin's first time running more than 1 mile. Jon said he was amazing and he ran 3 miles without stopping. They came in 9th and 10th Place overall. Way to go guys!

Calvin is 9

On Monday Calvin turned nine years old. Happy birthday to the nicest, happiest most awesome nine-year-old boy I've ever met. I love him. We took him to pick a Lego set and he wanted to go to the curiosity museum with his cousins. He also had a night game party with his friends. He chose Golden Corral for his birthday meal and stuffed himself. We had a great time for his birthday. 

A little bit about Calvin. He is a very nice kid. He cares about others. He helps me around the house. He plays with his sisters. He loves to read, he's a great piano player, he is great in school and all his teachers love him. Calvin loves to do anything and everything with his dad. They love playing Legos, riding bikes, running. Just today he told me that he was kind of glad we are having another girl and he's come to terms with it because that means him and dad get more one-on-one time together. He is truly a blessing in our family. I love his smile and his hugs. I am so grateful Calvin is my son.

New phone

We have had an iPhone in our drawer for a few months deciding if Jon or I would use it. For my birthday Jon got me a lens for the iPhone camera and said he made the decision for me to use it. I was hesitant because I have used android phones for years. It has been kind of fun getting to know a new phone system. And the lens Jon got me is cool.
