Working on the garden boxes

This is our garden space. We are not going to use the whole thing. We are just making 3 large planter boxes on one side. We will probably do more next year.

Here is Jon working on the box, Calvin is Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty (He has been Prince Phillip for about a week now, he refuses to go by Calvin). He is defending us from the dragons.

Cute little Lily playing with her toys while we build the boxes.

I am not scared of the dragon because Calvin is protecting me.

One box in 2 more to go.

Project week

Jon had 6 days off this week because of shift changes and so we decided to get some projects going. We started on the garden, I can't really say we, Jon tilled and shoveled and raked and shoveled some more and put down weed guard and covered it with gravel. We are going to build planter boxes to put all of our fruits and vegis in and have gravel walk ways around each box. It will be awesome, I am so excited. We are going to have a salsa garden because everyone knows I can't go a day without chips and salsa. We will also have one box of corn and some fruit somewhere in there. We also tore apart the kids bathroom so that Andy could tile the floor (once again I can't take any credit). While Jon was pulling up the linoleum he found mold (yuk!) but we bleached it out and the tile looks beautiful. Now we just have to stain the cabinet and get the toilet back in. Jon and his dad spent 3 days hooking up the secondary water so that we can have a cheap water bill for our lawn this summer. We were going to start on our can rollers in the food room but we ran out of time. This week went by really fast (probably not as fast for Jon). Pictures will be posted soon. If you haven't noticed, our camera decided to start taking pictures in really dull ugly colors, so we are camera shopping right now. If you have any good camera suggestion let me know.

Mezmorized by a fly named Crawly

This morning we are all sitting at the kitchen table eating waffles and Calvin bursts out "Mom look, there is a fly in here." Then he decides it is the coolest thing he has ever seen and the rest of breakfast goes as follows (all Calvin): " Mom, where did the fly go? Oh, there it is! Oh no, it is going to get Lily's waffle. Fly, don't get Lily's waffle. Mom it matches the table, I can't see him. Oh, here he is. Hi Bug, I can't see his face, Where is his face? Mom, he is scratching the table. I can't see his fingernails. He is little. Look he is crawling under the table, he goes upside down. Hi Crawly. I named him crawly. Oh no, where did crawly go. (Lily starts pointing and laughing at the fly on the table, she is also very entertained.) There he is." Jon and I laughed all through breakfast, isn't it great what kids can find entertaining?

Looking for a starter home in Santaquin?

I got a listing in Santaquin yesterday. It is a twin home 3 beds, 1 bath for $124,900. If you know anyone looking that way let me know. Or the mobile home is still available for $68,000 or the Mona Home with 4 car garage and horse property for $349,000. Thanks for the referrals, I love working with friends and friends of friends and family. I wouldn't be in business with out you guys.

Temples and Testimonies

Last week Jon and I went to do sealings at the temple and I had a really cool experience. I was invited to be in a live sealing. A lady was there with her husband and she was being sealed to her parents who were deceased and so they asked me to be her mother. It was a really special experience.

Ever since conference Calvin has been bearing his testimony to me everyday. It is simple and so cute. "I like to bear my testimony, I know this church is true, Jesus Christ Amen." Every once in a while he will throw in Pres. Monson is a true prophet or I love Travis in Mexico.

Muddy Buddy Fun

Muddy Buddies are a yummy chocolate chex mix. When it was cold last week Calvin asked if we could make some and because I can't resist them, I said yes. Calvin wore his Home Depot apron and made a huge mess out of chocolate but he had so much fun.

We also made silly glasses today out of straws and construction paper and Calvin thought they were so cool.

New Beds

So we made the switch. Calvin is now out of his crib and it has been passed on to Lily. Calvin was kind of sad but he was really excited about his new bed. Jon and I were actually a little sad, Calvin always loved his crib and he would sleep and nap perfectly in it from the day he was born. But a couple of months ago he stopped taking naps so we decided to make the switch and it has been great. Here are some pictures of the happy kids.
